Your Pie Slice: When To Post Your Blogs
There are two essential schools of thought when it comes to blog posting schedules: weekdays, or weekends.
The weekday posters say, hey, we want a piece of that really huge weekday readership pie, when everyone’s out reading blogs! Who wants to post on the weekends when everyone’s shopping and gardening and watching movies and whatnot? We’re the entertainment and information source that can be grabbed in quick nuggets whilst waiting for lunch or in traffic (well, maybe not in traffic) or in a couple spare minutes at work! Everyone wants a little quick something to read in the dull point of a weekday; why shouldn’t we get a piece of that?
The weekend posters, meanwhile, say: yeah, you and everybody else, schmuck. There’s way too much competition going into the weekday market. Why should we kill ourselves fighting fifty billion OTHER blogs for the last scraps of scraps when we could just waltz in on weekends, when nobody’s around anyway, and snag all the readers we want! Sure, there’s a lot fewer readers, but the ones that are here are allllll ours, bay-bee.
There are pluses and minuses to each, and you’ve got to figure out what’s best for you. Sadly, that’s about what it comes down to–do you want a big slice of a tiny pie or a tiny slice of a big pie?

Great summation of one of the hardest decision we as bloggers have to make! I've always gone with the weekday approach. Sure, the competition is amplified, but if I have content that brings people back, I'd rather put it up when people are used to surfing around the web.

I think posting during the week and posting on the weekends is the right solution.
