If you blog through Wordpress, it’s time for an upgrade! The new Wordpress 2.6, called “Tyner”, is now available with new cool features. Instead of listing them out to you, just watch this video below created by the Wordpress team themselves. Don’t forget to upgrade!

Hey Thanks Sly, I upgraded some of my blogs today, but I didn’t even realize there were added features.

I don’t jump on the “upgrade now!” bandwagon. A new version will almost always have some issues pop up. I’m perfectly happy letting the early adopters work out those bugs!

I really like the feature of wordcount.
That’s all!

The Photo Captions is a real great add-on for the Gallery feature of 2.6.
Yet again I need to upgrade. (from b1, b2, b3, rc1 and now the real thing)
The video was pretty thorough about the changes, but I have a problem with one change: Post revisions.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to delete old post revisions and there’s no indication how many can be stored. Editing posts that have already been published could start filling up a database pretty quick.

Watched the video, but I don’t think I’ll be updating just yet… I’m happy with the current version: )

I think i’ll give sometimes before upgrading mines
Like RT I also have a problem with post revisions. This is a feature I just don’t need and because I edit my posts a lot it will put lots of extra crap in the database. Worse, Wordpress doesn’t have a switch to turn it off! Anyone aware of any plugins to do so?

Hi,
Most of my blogs are using WP 2.0. Although 2.2 is also being released, there are too many problems with them. So I reverted back to 2.0 only

2.6 is actually strong. I have used it.
As of late I came across something that really helped me online with my internet marketing and I thought I might share the information. I found this website called http://www.InternetMillionaireProducer.com and the system that was set up is quite different. I finally learnt how to set up my own websites, incorporate compelling and persuasive copy, build banners, pop ups, web forms, email databases, obtain targeted traffic to my websites and so much more. I recommend this website to anyone who has been struggling or just starting out…he’s got it going on. Good luck.
