As some of you bloggers probably know, Blog Carnival is a very easy way for you to expose your articles. You find a “carnival” that you like, submit an article, then wait until it gets published (posted). When you first visited Blog Carnival, the whole process and system might have confused you and actually kept you away from it. For new bloggers, here’s a quick rundown to what Blog Carnival is and how to use it to increase your Technorati ranking.
What is Blog Carnival and How Does It Work?
Blog Carnival is a whole database of blog sites that were made to link to other blogs based on its category. To understand how it works, think of it this way: you submit a link to one of your articles to a carnival (in other words, a blog), and then wait until it gets released in the “Next Issue” (release date). After the next issue date of the carnival, it will link back to all the blog articles that users have submited. So it’s basically like how my Quick Links pages work, but the articles are sumited instead.

How Can I Use It To Increase My Technorati Ranking?
I have probably explained it to you already: submit you’re articles to carnivals to get more links back to your site, which in term increases your Technorati ranking! It’s as easy as that :)! Keep in mind though, don’t just randomly submit your articles to random carnivals. Make sure they are both related. Here’s another important point: don’t submit your articles to carnivals that won’t benefit you. Only submit it to carnivals that are active, have a good Alexa ranking. If you don’t think the carnval (blog) has no active readers at all, don’t even bother submitting an article to it. Remember, you’re not only doing it to increase your Technorati ranking, but also to increase your traffic. The better the Alexa traffic and PageRank of the blog carnival, the more it will benefit you.

Going to try this out!
I found this article via Sphinn - it went to a 404 page, but I found it by using search. Great article.
Thanks.
