Database giant Oracle has announced that is has acquired Phase Forward, makers of healthcare software. Phase Forward was founded in 1997 and offers healthcare and drug companies software to help with clinical trials. The company is publicly traded on the NASDAQ. Oracle will complete the acquisition later this year and is expected to integrate the new software with its own products.

Database empire Oracle has announced that they’ve acquired AmberPoint, a small company which specializes in application and performance management, where its software makes it easier to optimize apps and manage business transactions.

Oracle has said that AmberPoint’s software will be added to Oracle’s Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) product lineup.
