30,000 Android apps available, according to Google

Google has announced that its Android App Store now sports 30,000 applications. The Android App Store reached 10,000 apps back in September 2009, so the growth is pretty good — not iPhone-like, but still quite good. IPhone has over 140,000 apps in its store today.

Google recently revealed that over 60,000 Android headsets are being sold every day.

Samsung, already the second largest handset manufacturer in the world, is taking it to the next level. Banking on their aggressive strategies and cool mobile phones, they are eyeing an ambitious 30% of the European market by selling more handsets in Europe this 2010.

Basing it on what they have been doing so far, this goal is certainly achievable. I’ll Take My Blog To Go, Please

Whether you are a user of the new generation of smart phones or not, you should be aware that some of your readers almost certainly are.  Increasing numbers of blog readers are catching up on their blog reads on mobile devices like the iPhone, Android G1 or the Blackberry Storm.

If you haven’t optimized your site for them you could find your readership declining as more readers take advantage of this method especially while they are travelling.  Nothing is easier for a commuter than to sit on the bus or train and spend the travel time catching up on their blogs with a smart phone.

But how do you achieve this without some serious coding knowledge? Well for Wordpress based bloggers it is actually quite easy, yes, there is a plugin for that.

Called WPtouch this plugin will make sure your blog loads lightning fast on touch mobile devices, show your content beautifully, all while not interfering with your regular theme.  That sounds pretty good to me.
