So I was reading an article over on Daily Blog Tips and one of their newest is about how to build an email address list based on your subscribers.  They describe it as one of the most important things an online entrepreneur can do.

I prefer to describe it as a kick in the metaphorical crotch to your readership, and instead say that building an email address list of your subscriber base is the WORST thing you can do as an online entrepreneur.

Now, admittedly, there’s something to be said for occasional messages to your readership that hit them where they live, in their email inbox about something special you’re doing or offering.  But without a LOT of care and forbearance, all you’ll be doing is alienating your readership and hurting the ones you depend on most.  And don’t even get me started on selling email addresses to affiliate programs….

So I wouldn’t be quite so concerned about the email address list, but that’s a call each person has to make for themselves.

A lot of you might be wondering where I’ve been. It’s been 3 days since I posted anything new and I also have not been active in terms of commenting on other blogs as I usually do. 

Where have I been, you might ask? Well, long story short: I am now doing affiliate marketing through PPC (pay-per-click) and I must tell you… it’s a LOT of work! Just ask any other affiliate marketer out there and they’ll tell you that PPC marketing takes more work than blogging. If anyone disagrees, please prove me wrong! I’d love to see how you do PPC marketing the “easy” way.

So anyway, I’ll talk more about affiliate marketing later. Right now I need some rest as I’ve spent the last 3 days learning about PPC marketing. I recently received a message from Triple.com, a web hosting company, asking me to help them promote their new affiliate program. Looking at what they have to offer, I couldn’t turn down to write this review. First of all, what you need to know is that Triple’s web hosting plan starts at only $3.99/month. But just like other web hosting companies, Triple allows users to register new domains as well. Now with their new affiliate program, webmasters can start making money from their service.

The Affiliate Program

So this is how it works. By advertising Triple’s services, you can earn up to 30% of all the payments made by the customers that come to their site through the use of your referral link. So let’s say you refer someone to register a domain with them (which costs $9.99). The registration is about $10, and 30% of it would make you about $3. You can also earn up to 15% of the earnings of the webmasters that you referred.

To get paid, you will need to acquire the minimum payout of $20. So even if you just get a few domain sales, you’ll already be making some easy money. They pay by PayPal, which is a major advantage compared to other web hosting affiliate programs, every month (or every week after accreditation).

Overall Thoughts

All in all, Triple is a nice web hosting program that you need to take advantage of. There are no other new web hosting companies out there that offers both their regular hosting and domain service as well as an affiliate program for webmasters. Because their service is new, getting customers and referrals will not be hard at all. Make sure to check them out.
