Shake Things Up: Change The Layout of Your Blog
Okay, fellas out there, I know that we like to hassle the ladies about their strange furniture moving propensity. Even Dave Barry took a stab at this one, saying that we guys don’t like to move furniture, and if we really were in charge, every piece of furniture in the world would still be in its original position, somewhere in the ruins of Ancient Rome.
But maybe it’s not such a bad idea after all. If you’re not getting a good response with your advertising, one thing to try is to simply move the ads around. I know; kind of a crazy thought, right? Just move some posts around? What’s the point of THAT? Well, the point of that is to give your audience a little something different to look at. Something different to process. The human brain loves new and different, folks–loves it like nobody’s business. And if you GIVE it to the human brain, you’ll be rewarded with the greatest gift it can generate for a blogger.
Attention.
So if you’re not liking how your audience is reacting to you, give them something new to react TO.

If something is not working, its always good to try something new and make a new layout. Its always good to experiment and record which layout is giving you the best results.

Theres definitely tons of free blog templates out there, I'm always on the lookout for a new one that I think might increase my CTR without looking like there is too much advertisements.

I always find that you should try to renew or at least enhance your blog once every year, to keep things fresh. But with each blog layout out change, it should definitely be a step up, not a step down.
Till then,
Jean

One important thing to consider is giving time. At least 1-2 week testing should be there for a new layout/tweak.
Also, it is beneficial to find key areas of your design so that you can use them well.

When I make a change to my blog it usually causes many problems I would rather not deal with. It is good to keep it fresh.

Hi great article thanks for sharing. How long does it take (after registering and creating a new blog on blogger.com), to get approved for Adsense?
