Partnering For More Readers

You can read a lot of posts that will tell you how to run great competitions to attract more readers, but they all seem to be based on the premise that you either have a great product just lying around that you can give away or that you want to give away your hard earned cash.

I think this is a short sighted way to increase your readership, why not contact someone who has a great product that your readers would really enjoy and ask for a discount just for your readers. What has the product owner got to lose?

If you pitch this the right way and simply get an online coupon you can offer to your readers you can increase your readership and the loyalty of your readers for free. An example of this might be a discount code for a premium wordpress theme if your blog is about blogging.

What products would work well in your niche?

Everyone loves freebies. This is a great strategy to pull more traffic to our blogs or websites. And yes, it is really nice that instead of having competition with others, we embrace cooperation.
