Netflix adds 300 new indie films to its streaming catalog

Netflix announced today that it had secured deals with independent film distributors which would see some 300 indie films join Netflix’ catalog of on-demand steaming movies (which is already quite large).

However, not all titles will be immediately available. Most will be added to the catalog throughout this year, while some will be added early next year. The deals include motion pictures form The Criterion Collection, Gravitas Ventures, Kino Lorber, Music Box Films, Oscilloscope Laboratories and Regent Releasing.
