Mobile Blogging Tool
While I was at SXSW I got to play, errr I mean test out a very cool new device. Known as a MID or Mobile Internet Device the OQO is due in the US in a few months.
It was previewed at CES earlier in the year, for my money this is just about the perfect mobile blogging tool. Small enough to slip into a jacket pocket, it runs Windows Vista, has a full keyboard, including a separate number pad an OLED screen which is very bright with a clear crisp contrast.
The price is a little scary at $1500 but I would expect to see that come down rapidly. I would certainly buy this over a luxury laptop like the Dell Adamo or the Mac Air. The video was shot by Nicole Simon who is from Germany a top blogger and tech reviewer as well as an author. It was filmed in the bloggers lounge at SXSW.

It seems to be a great tool…but the price is very high. Good enough to scare off people

Definitely looks cool, but at $1500, it's tough to justify for most people. Will be lots of similar-sized products introduced in the coming months and years.
