Got a website or a blog, but have no traffic? Having a site up on the internet may have been a stressful for you, but getting visitors might be another issue. Yes, there are many ways to promote your site, like using Google AdWords to make some ads that link to your site for just a few bucks. But there are many other ways to do it free:
1) It’s all about the content- Your content is the #1 reason your visitors came to your site in the first place. Have good content that people will read about. No matter what their interest are, they should be reading it if it’s really good.
2) Update daily- Many people out start making a site, get some content up, and either get bored updating it or give up. It is very important to ALWAYS update your site. If you’ve got a blog, post 1 new blog MINIMUM each and every day. The more content you have, the more people will come back. The more people come back, the more chances they’ll keep COMING back.
3) Make your content easy to view other than just from the main site- If you’ve got subscription options, anybody can easily view your blogs or sites. FeedBurner is an RSS Feed service that lets people subscribe to your blogs. Just like mine on the left sidebar, you can see that people can subscribe either with RSS Feeds or email subscriptions.
4) Get a good search engine ranking- Submit your site to search engines like Google and Yahoo. Search Engines help get people link to your site. Keywords also play a big role in this. If you have good keywords in your sites there will be a better chance that your site comes up before any other site.
There are many other ways to promote your site and get a better site traffic. These are just some main points that every blogger, or anyone that has a site that they believe should be well known to people, should know.

I find blogging everyday and posting at least one post very important. I make it a point to post at least once a day so readers will know my blog is active and I have dedication to it.
