How to Remove Close Button From Firefox Tabs
Ever had more than two or three Firefox tabs open and accidentally closed one of them because the close tab button was in the way? Here’s a quick tip that will remove those close buttons from Firefox tabs.
1) Type in about:config on the Firefox address bar to open up the settings (figure 1).
2) Select browser.tabs.closeButtons. See where it says value? Change it from 1 to 3. Doing this will make a single close tab button on the right (figure 2).

You can also use the Tab Close Control extension to change the visible tabs (www.sicomit.com ccdownload)
