Most people upload videos to YouTube. But they don’t know how to upload the video with the right compression settings and format to get the highest possible video quality. With these settings using Quicktime Pro 7, you will get high-quality videos for YouTube.

Settings:
Use H.264 codec
Key Frames –> 24 frames
Quality –> Best
Encoding –> Faster Encode (Single-Pass)
Data Rate –> 2000 kbps/sec

Size:
320×240
Check Deinterlace

Sound:
AAC
44.1kHz
64 kbps
Mono

Note that these settings are for QuickTime Pro 7. Other settings might be different for other programs. There are other programs that you can use that I will go over in future posts.

Hi, great article. Now that YouTube has changed the video resolution to 480×360, while exporting my video in QuickTime, wich resolution shouldI use? 320×240 or 480×360?

    Thank you!!! ^.^
