This post was made for those who are new at blogging or those who just need to know how to post HTML codes to your sites. So this topic shows you how to add any type of HTML code to any website. First of, let me just say that this is very easy to do. All you really need is to find how you can add an HTML code to your sidebar for example. Here’s a quick set-up if you’re a user of Blogger:
All you would really need to do is go to your Blogger settings, then click the Template tab >> Page Elements. From there you will see how your site layout really is set up. To add a page element, just click “Add a Page Element” on the right sidebar. What you will then see are all the page elements you can add to your site. For this topic’s purposes, we will use the HTML/JavaScript element so click “Add to Blog”.
So what’s next? Well, title the sidebar element to whatever you’d like. If you’re adding a BlogCatalog or MyBlogLog widget for example, you can title it “My Communities”. Then for the content part just paste the given HTML codes of the widgets. Save changes and you’re set.
If you’re using WordPress, it works just about the same way. As you can see here make sure you’re in the Widgets tab.
Just like Blogger, all that is needed is to add the right page element. In WordPress you can use “Text 1″. Drag the element to the sidebar if you still haven’t. Edit it by clicking the icon on the right of element. What’s next? Paste the code! That’s basically all that is to it.
