Google starts phasing out YouTube accounts

Google has quietly started phasing out YouTube accounts, and instead is forcing users to link to their Google and Gmail accounts instead. New users are automatically forced to use a Google account, while existing users will from now on be asked to link their Google account to their YouTube account.
