Despite what one might think about Google Buzz, and most think that it’s a swing at Twitter in particular, a Google executive has come out and stated that Buzz is not a Twitter or Facebook killer, but is merely filling out “a niche which is not currently met in the market”.

Google Buzz offers a Twitter-like feature integrated within Gmail, and was launched only last week.
