Getting Started with Video Blogging
Video blogging, sometimes referred to as “vloging”, has picked up very fast the past few years. Users post videos of themselves talking about just anything, whether it be a rant, discussion, or just being silly. If you haven’t heard of it, just go on YouTube and look at the popular videos. You’ll see hundreds upon thousands of videos made by ordinary people, just like you and me.
Creating a video blog is a great way to get started on something new. Sometimes text isn’t your specialty, and being under the spotlight might be your calling. One common misconception people make about video blogging is that it requires a high quality camera. This isn’t true, as most people record their videos using a budget webcam. However, it is important that it’s a decent quality image and framerate, along with a decent quality microphone. It doesn’t have to be studio quality, but just good enough so your watchers will understand.
Make sure the room you’re recording to is well-lit and looks clean. Along with that, make sure that you yourself are clean and groomed. Don’t just go on the camera shirtless if you want to be serious, even if shirtless is your thing.
If you’re not familiar with any video editing programs, it’s safe to just stick to Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. Once you’ve gotten used to the basics, start moving onto Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere.
The thing that’s great about posting a video is that video websites already get a huge amount of hits, and by placing a link in the description of your video, you are guaranteed millions of potential hits if your video becomes popular. Give it a try, it’s definitely worth it in the long run.

its nice but what how about slow internet connections and can't handle video hosts that needs high bandwidth? in some instances "vloging" is good but most people prefer written blogs or.

I've always wanted to be a "vlogger". I like to think that the things I write about on my blog are worth publishing to YouTube (especially if you consider a lot of the things that get put on there), but I don't have that natural flow that would make a video blog enjoyable. That's why I enjoy text blogging, because it gives me a chance to think about and phrase things just right.
I tried podcasting for a while, but couldn't get it off the ground. With that kind of stuff, I'm a better collaborator than entrepreneur.
