A new month means a new prize for the top commenter (Comment King/Queen). Last month of January, I gave away 400 Entrecard credits. This month of February, the prize will be a $10 prize that will be sent via PayPal.
Some of you probably noticed a few hours ago that the Top Commenter banner showed that I was only giving away $7. But I have decided to bring it up to $10. To some people, that’s already a lot of money. Then there are those who think it’s cheap and “not worth it” to comment for a mere ten bucks. Well, let me tell you this: money is money and you can always invest it to make hundreds (even thousands) more. I sent out an email to those who subscribed to my newsletter giving them a heads-up about the new cash prize. In it, I went over how $7 (now $10) can be invested through many different ways especially through affiliate marketing. You can easily invest the money through PPC marketing, for example, and make hundreds more out of it. Don’t believe me? Just ask the internet marketing experts.
So anyway, go ahead and try to be this month’s Comment King/Queen! There’s also going to be secret prize to the 2nd place commenter.

@ Lai - You can comment as much as you want. As long as your comment shows that you actually read the post, I will accept it. If not (if it looks like you just dropped by and left a short phrase or sentence) I will delete it.

Sounds like a good idea. You might run the risk of having some people leaving spam comments or ones that are worthless just so that they can get in on a chance to win some cash.

I think 10.00 is a nice round sum being as I can always use some money, and I love entering contest large or small..I think this is a great idea for comments. Listen may I ask how do you decide who wins and how do I go about trying to win these 10.00, that you are offering?.

Giving prizes to the top commenter is definitely a great way to boost comments on a blog. Once I gather some prizes, I’m definitely going to use this idea from you. It’s a great incentive and you can always delete useless comments.
