Need to raise funds for something? If you ever wanted to collect money from groups of people, ChipIn makes this process possible and easy. When you register there is a widget available for you to place on your site so others can see that you are trying to raise money for something–anything. You can set the amount that you would want to get, set a deadline date for it, and edit it to change the size, color, and a description.
Take a look at my About page and you’ll see my ChipIn widget. As you can see, I’m trying to raise money for my MacBook Pro sometime this year (if you can, please help chip in!). When internet users want to help chip in, they just click the little button that says ChipIn and they’ll be taken to a PayPal page in which they can make a transaction. You can send money from your PayPal account or from a credit card. It’s really that easy. Just think of it as a PayPal donation but on steroids.
