Communication between bloggers and their readers is a big part of blogging. Not only do bloggers connect with their readers but it’s also a great way for them to contact them if they need help. That’s why blogs have an Contact page so they can email the blogger right? How about contacting them live through a messenger? That’s where Plugoo comes in handy.

I first found out about this little tool when I tried to contact Terence Change from his site. There I found the usual contact form in which you can email him. But there was a link I saw that said “You can click here to chat with me online.” That’s where I saw the little widget called Plugoo.

Here’s what Plugoo is in one sentence: a way for your readers (or anyone) to easily chat with you online without having to give them your instant messenger screen name. It’s very easy to get started since Plugoo is integrated with the IM you already use. All you need to do is sign up for an account, set up what IM you use, then embed the HTML code in your website or blog. When you’re done, you can have a little widget just like mine.

[UPDATE]- You will now see another widget that works the same way as Plugoo, but uses Meebo. Other than using Meebo for instant IM access, it can also do what Plugoo does. Another great little tool you can use if you want your readers to contact you!
