Release Of iPhone Pwnage Tool On Sunday?

The iPhone Dev-Team has finally scheduled a time of the new Pwnage Tool release! A few minutes ago, the Dev-Team posted a new blog entry titled “Sundays”. What was the body of the entry?

We love sundays. We think you will too.

For those of you who don’t know, the new Pwnage Tool is suppose to be the god of all iPhone activating/jailbreaking/unlocking softwares. With this tool, 1st-gen iPhone owners will be able to activate, jailbreak, AND, unlock their phones WITH the 2.0 update. Meanwhile, iPhone 3G owners will only be able to activate and jailbreak their phones… no unlocking (yet).

So now let’s just sit back and relax until the next Sunday ticks closer to our life. There’s no doubt that the Pwnage Tool 2.0 release will create a big buzz all over the internet very soon. I just can’t wait until I see the magic this thing will do to my recently bought iPhone.

Where Have I Been? NOT Getting the New iPhone 3G…

So it’s been over a week since I posted anything. Where have I been? Well, I’ve been living my life. But I guess you’re wondering why I haven’t been updating Slyvisions lately. The simple reason is (other than living my life) that I’ve been busy trying to get myself an iPhone from eBay. I know, I know, with all this iPhone madness, I must be the 1263423435th person to talk about this subject. But the thing is, I’m not trying to get the new iPhone 3G… I’m trying to get the 1st-gen iPhone (and recently just won an auction on eBay!).

Ok, so why did I “waste” my money on the first iPhone instead of getting the new one? To tell you the truth, the only reason major difference between the two phones is that the 3G iPhone is faster and has GPS capability. But I don’t have a contract with AT&T anyway and don’t plan to have one. What I do plan on doing is unlocking and “jailbreaking” my phone so that I can use it with my current SIM card. So the speed of the phone is already out of the question. GPS? Well, I actually love the GPS feature on the iPhone, but I already have a real GPS that is actually getting reception from a satellite.

The real big deal is the new firmware 2.0 update for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With all the cool applications you can download, the iPhone/iPod Touch can finally be what they were suppose to be in the first place. Some of you might be saying, “Oh I already have a ‘jailbroken’ iPhone/iPod Touch with hundreds of apps that I can download. I don’t need the 2.0 update”. That’s what I had said too at the beginning. But let me tell you something… the 2.0 update looks very promising and I think the apps from the App Store overpowers the apps from a jailbroken iPhone or iPod Touch. Or wait… did you know that you can soon have both an unlocked/jailbroken iPhone WITH the 2.0 update? More on that later.
:-)

Banned On Digital Point Forums?

I logged on Digital Point today just to do my normal routine of checking out what’s going on the community. Usually, I head start off going to the Buy, Sell, Trade area to see if there was anything cool that I can buy. But as I logged in my username and password, this shows up on the next page.

Banned on Digital Point

Banned?!?! I never would have thought of getting banned on Digital Point! In fact, I tried so hard not getting banned because my account is growing in terms of number of posts (660+) and iTraders (40+). And now I’m banned? What happened?

Well, according to the site, it was simple. I had received enough infractions due to too much bumping of my threads. The lesson here: don’t bump your threads! It sounds stupid, but it’s true. Digital Point now has strict policies regarding these kinds of things, and unfortunately, I ended up being one of the idiots who never watched what I was doing. Lucky for me, I’m only banned for 1 month (whew). But it’s going to be a very long month.

Happy 1st Birthday, Slyvisions dot Com!

One year ago, Slyvisions dot Com was born!

My first year of being in the internet marketing business has been quite a ride. I can still remember the time when I googled “make money online”, which led me to ProBlogger, which then led me to make this site. Actually, the first content of this site was born in April of last year. But it wasn’t until June 2 of 2007 that I bought my own web hosting and the domain from Dreamhost, when the site was officially born.

Through this blog, I have reached my goal of making over thousands of dollars online. Slyvisions dot Com provided me with the skills that I needed to reach my success. It also allowed me to prepare for what’s to come in the near future. But it all couldn’t have been possible without you, my readers. So I thank everyone who has been part of my first year in this journey.

But don’t get me wrong. I still have a long way to go.

Most Popular Posts

Anyway, I want to present to you the most popular posts of my first 365 days. They are not put in any particular order. Every post you see here are what I feel has made Slyvisions dot Com what it is right now. If you think I missed something, let me know!

There are a few more posts I know were popular in terms of traffic, but the ones above are the ones that I think I spent 300% effort writing, and in turn, got plenty of comments from readers everywhere. Anyway, to finish this post, I would like to thank you again for being a Slyvisions dot Com reader. Without you, I don’t think I would have written this post in the first place.

Winner of May $5 Blog Plug

The month of May is out of the way, and that means it’s time to announce the Comment King of the month! First of all, the prize for the month of May is a $5 plug, which is a $50 value here on this blog. The Comment King can get a full self-written review here for the price of a candy bar (well, 2 or 3 candy bars depending on where you live).

Anyway, congratulations to Max from BlogBadly for being last month’s Comment King! (You might know him as Blogging Tips and Tricks by his anchor text). So Max, if you want your $5 plug, let me know by replying below or send me an email. If you don’t want it for some reason, I will be choosing someone else to claim the prize.

To the 4 other people that were included in the top 5 top commenter list, I want to let you know that you have still won something. What is it? Well, as a reward, I have decided to give you guys a free 1-month sponsorship on my RSS feed! That means you will have your text links under each post from now on in the RSS feed. In fact, if you read this on your RSS feed, you can see it right now!

As for the new prize for the month of June, I’ll be giving away another 125×125 banner sponsorship for 1 month. Make sure you get your name in the top commenter list to give yourself a chance to win this $30-value advertisement!

April Winner of 125×125 Banner

A quick post to congratulate the Comment King of April! The winner of the 125×125 banner that will stay up for the months of May and June is Chetan! He was the top commenter for April, but even though I select the winner randomly, he was also the one that was randomly selected as the winner. Congratulations again, Chetan. Make sure you send me your banner so I can put it up ASAP.

For the rest of you guys that want to win something, I have decided to put only 5 top commenters on the sidebar. This means that you have a better chance of winning the prize (remember, the winner is selected randomly). Speaking of the prize, this month’s comment king will have the chance to get a blog/product plug for only $5! If you don’t know what a blog plug is, it’s basically like a blog/product review. The only difference is that it’s written by you. Now if you look at my Advertise page you can see that a plug on this site is worth $50. Be the Comment King and you can get it for only $5. The thing is, if you become the Comment King and don’t have the $5 for the plug, you can give your Comment King crown to someone else that would want the prize. But who wouldn’t want a $5 blog/product review? :)

March Comment King and Winner Of 125×125 Ad Spot

I am now back from vacation and back in business. To get things started, I want to congratulate Jim for winning the 125×125 ad spot for the month of March. Go ahead and email me your ad so I can put it up on the sidebar.

As for the next Comment King/Queen, I am going to give away another 125×125 ad spot. But this one will stay up for 2 months. A $60 value for free. Remember, you don’t have to be the person with the most comments to win. Just get your name in the Top Commenter list and you can have the chance to win the monthly prize.

I’m still looking for writers and contributors by the way. Anyone is welcome to write as long as it fits any of the categories that this site goes over. Be an occasional contributor or a long-term writer, I will accept your posts as long as it has quality. The reason I am looking for more writers is because I want to start making Slyvisions a community of bloggers. I might even start rewarding (with $$$ or whatever) those who write for this site. It’s never bad to try something like this right? :P
