Mac OS X Leopard Sneak Peak

Mac OS X Leopard

One of the biggest innovations ever, Apple has finally let us in to what exactly Leopard is all about. After the delay of its release because of the time Apple spent on the iPhone, some of us will finally get our hands on it in October. There are so many features of Leopard that I can’t talk about them all in this post. Instead Apple has done it for us. Their site reveals us almost all the cool features not just by talking about it, but by showing us graphical photos and videos.

Personally, I think that Leopard will change my life (and others). I’ve had a Mac since 2004 and it really changed the way I thought about computers. I learned that computers are not only used for things like games, photos, videos, instant messaging, but it showed me that with Macs, anything you want to do is possible. The site will show PC-haters why Mac-lovers love macs. If you’re one of those PC-haters, at least consider about appreciating how awesome Macs are. By watching the videos of the actual working Leopard you will doodle over what you are seeing.

Create Sites With RapidWeaver

Rapidweaver logo

As you have probably already noticed, the site was made using a WYSYWIG editor. The application I use is called RapidWeaver. I can do almost anything I want to this site without all the stress with playing with the HTML or CSS codes.

Voted as the #3 Overall Site in CoolMacApps and #1 in Editing, RapidWeaver is the best website creating application you can find for the Mac. RapidWeaver will help you create and publish nice looking sites that you never thought you could do without having to learn HTML.

Here are some features of RapidWeaver:
- Blogging (just like this Home page)
- Show Photos/Videos (just like the Screencast page)
- Make contact forms
- Podcasting
- Built-in RSS Feeds for blogs
- Customizable themes
- Available plug-ins

After buying RapidWeaver you can get a site started AND published in less than a few hours, maybe even in minutes depending on how much you’re doing! For more information visit their site. You’ll find everything you need to know including some screenshots and videos of RapidWeaver.

Watch Full Screen On QuickTime Without QuickTime Pro

–Mac Tip–

If you don’t have QuickTime Pro and don’t plan to get it, here is an alternative to watching a video in full screen.

Launch Script Editor, and enter:
scripteditor
Then just save the script as an application. File >> Save As >> (Select Application for “file format”) >> Save.
Next time you have a video open on QuickTime, just open up the application you have created. The video that’s open on QuickTime will play in full screen.
