AT&T has finally announced their new pricing plans for the upcoming iPhone 3G coming out in just a few days. But as you might already know, the plans actually make the iPhone experience more expensive than before. New customers of AT&T can get the iPhone for $199 for the 8GB and $299 for the 16GB. If you are a current customer and are eligible for an upgrade, you can still get the iPhone at those prices. But if you are an “early upgrader”, you have to get the iPhones for $399/$499.
Oh, and here’s some good news and bad news for those who are not with AT&T or those who will not even imagine to get a contract with them. So first, the good news: AT&T will offer a no-commitment option of the iPhone so you can get it without a contract. Bad news: the 8GB will cost $599 and the 16GB at $699.
To read more about the AT&T pricing plans for the iPhone, go ahead and check this out. It has all you need to know about the plans that they offer. As for me, I think I’ll pass in getting the new iPhone 3G (unless someone finds a way to get the new iPhone without having to get a contract with AT&T).

thats really high! but what if it comes it india!? it may be double!!
@ Blog For Beginners - The old iPhones can be unlocked easily. But the new 3G iPhones, we still have to sit back and wait until someone figures out how to unlock it. Apple may have made it harder to unlock, if not impossible.
Yeah I won’t be surprised that Apple make it harder to unlock but some people will somehow find a way to unlock it. Let’s wait and see.
