Android shipping on 60,000 phones per day

According to Google, the mastermind behind the Android mobile OS, the OS is now shipping on 60,000 devices every single day, from a variety of phone makers.

If you tally those numbers up, you get 5.4 million per quarters, and how’s that compared to Apple? Well, Apple shipped 8.7 million iPhones last quarter, so Android is still quite behind.
