Alright guys and gals. Here it is. My goal to get 1000+ subscribers in 90 days or less starts today, August 17 of 2008. The deadline is November 9 of 2008 (which actually sounds like a pretty long time from now).
So what exactly am I goiing to be doing to reach the 1000 subscriber-mark and how will I do it? Well, all I’ll need to do is read my own posts that I wrote a few months ago. For example, I’ll need to start commenting every time I visit a blog. I’ll also need to start writing more great content. After re-reading my own posts,I will then be executing every single one of the tips I have written. Then just “go beyond” and do other things I’ve never done before. Basically, I’ll need to do everything I can to bring back old readers and lure in new subscribers. Sound simple eh? I sure hope so. All I know is that it’s going to take some work plus a lot of dedication to finally reach the goal that I should have made a long time ago. Anyway, keep your eye out for me in your blog in the next few days! ![]()

I think you are downplaying subscriber numbers. If you actually jump 750 subscribers in less than three months, you are probably doing something WRONG more than you are doing something right.
I applaud the fact that you are getting back in the game… I just don’t want to see you turn into a “subscriber whore” trying only to boost your numbers and throwing content into the wind.
Good luck!

@ Jim (The Net Fool) - Oh no no no don’t get me wrong. I’m not getting back in the game just to get more subscribers. The numbers are merely just something I can compare my success with, whether I do reach 1000 subscribers or not.

Beware: your strategy of “commenting every time I visit a blog” could have the flipside that you get too much involved in reading, writing and discussing on other blogs, rather than providing good and new content on YOUR blog.
BTW at the end of the 90 days, tell me which of MY RSS beach subscription strategies brought you in the most subscribers

Hello Sly, your goal is very challenging but if you really want it, you will be able to achieve it. Here are some ideas which you can get more subscribers:
- Hold a big contest
- Drop a lot of entrecards
- Get involved in a social network
- Comment useful useful things in forums, aside blogs.
It could be hard to increase by 700+ your subscribers, you need to give your best and be dedicated…
Good luck with that.

@ Big Blogger - Don’t worry. I’ll do my part both in and outside my blog.
@ Mr. Javo - To tell you the truth, the other 750 subscribers I need to get are going to be harder than it looks. Thanks for your tips, which I’ll surely be executing.

Good to see you back into business with a bigger goal than before. 300+ subscribers in a month seems to be hell of a task to achieve though but I wish you all the best and when you reach that numbers we’ll be interested to know how you do it.

This shouldn’t be hard if you do it right. A bunch of people I know have gotten thousands within a 3 month period so it’s definitely doable.
I guess it just depends on how much work you put into it.
